Battle Ships is one of the songs from my folk-opera La Mer - which I hope to release late in 2025. I've been paying this song live almost since the day I wrote it so I wanted to include it on this album as it's become such a big part of my live set.

We’ll wait for their night to fall
and they set sail
their eyes don’t penetrate
our water’s veil
this time they’re our prey

in stealth we swim
